Ambery. For the slow evening hours.

A warm, golden composition — Bergamot, Lavender, Pure Vanilla, Cinnamon Leaf, and Clove Bud — built to lower the day's adrenaline and wrap a room in safety.

In Short

Ambery is the wind-down profile. The blend pairs Bergamot's mood-lifting effect with the parasympathetic shift of Lavender, then anchors the heart and base with Pure Vanilla, Cinnamon Leaf, and Clove Bud for warmth that doesn't read as sweet. Composed across the candle, the bath, the body butter, and the gift set — the same essential oils layered through your room, your water, and your skin.

The Composition

Each oil, what it does.

Essential oils chosen for documented effect on the nervous system. Therapeutic dose. Never synthetic fragrance.

Top Note

Bergamot

Citrus bergamia

Mechanism. Cold-pressed Calabrian peel oil rich in linalyl acetate and limonene. One of the most-studied essential oils for reducing anxiety markers while lifting subjective mood — a rare combination of ease and lift.

Sensory. Bright, slightly bitter citrus with a green underside. Reads as opening rather than sweet.

Heart Note

Lavender

Lavandula angustifolia

Mechanism. Linalool-rich essential oil with extensive clinical literature for cortisol reduction, improved sleep onset, and subjective relaxation. The most-documented oil for parasympathetic shift.

Sensory. Soft, herbaceous floral. Rounds and quiets the citrus top.

Heart Note

Cinnamon Leaf

Cinnamomum verum

Mechanism. Leaf-distilled (not bark) cinnamon — eugenol-rich, with a softer, less hot aromatic profile. Used in aromatherapy for its warming, circulation-supportive effect.

Sensory. Warm, spicy, slightly sweet — adds glow without sharpness.

Base Note

Pure Vanilla

Vanilla planifolia

Mechanism. Real vanilla bean extract rather than synthetic vanillin. Vanillin in its natural matrix is associated with reduced startle response and lower stress markers in controlled studies — a primal cue of safety.

Sensory. Deep, resinous, slightly smoky vanilla. Reads as held, not iced.

Base Note

Clove Bud

Syzygium aromaticum

Mechanism. Bud-distilled clove (not stem) at low therapeutic dose. Eugenol-rich; adds depth and a documented warming effect through aromatic inhalation.

Sensory. Resinous, slightly woody spice. Sits underneath rather than projecting.

The Layered Evening Ritual

Three steps. One composition. The day quietly closes.

  1. One

Light the candle, an hour before the bath.

The 13oz Ambery candle on a low table or the bathroom shelf. Give it 30–60 minutes to fill the space before the water runs — the room shifts before you do.

  2. Two

Pour the bath soak into warm (not hot) water.

The no-mess sachet keeps the salts and clays contained. Soak for 20 minutes. Ocean salts deliver transdermal magnesium for muscle ease; the essential oils deepen what the candle started.

  3. Three

Apply the body butter to slightly damp skin.

Step out, towel-dry lightly, and massage in slow upward sweeps. The Cupuaçu and Mango butters replenish what the bath drew out; the composition lingers on the skin as you slide into bed.

At Aphora Botanicals

Warmth as a quiet form of luxury.

Ambery exists because most amber blends in the category overshoot — heavy on synthetic vanillin, projecting outward, designed to be noticed. We wanted the opposite. A composition you wear for yourself, not for anyone else in the room.

Bergamot lifts. Lavender settles. Vanilla, cinnamon leaf, and clove bud hold the warmth. Used as a layered ritual, the four-piece set is a nervous-system intervention disguised as an evening routine.

Made for those who recognise the difference.
