In Short
Heart Chakra is our most nurturing soak. French rose clay does gentle daily-grade detox; ocean salts and jojoba oil care for the skin barrier. The essential-oil composition — rose, bergamot, ylang ylang — is built for emotional softening, not energetic uplift. A bath for the moments that ask the body to let go.

Signature Ingredient
French Rose Clay
A natural blend of red and white kaolin clay tinted by mineral iron oxide. Gentler than green or bentonite clays — it draws surface impurities without aggressive detox, suited to dry, sensitive, or mature skin. The pink tint is naturally occurring; no dyes are added.
At Aphora Botanicals
The bath as therapy,
not afterthought.
Thalassotherapy — the use of seawater and marine minerals for health — is one of the oldest documented therapeutic practices. Our bath soaks bring its principles into the home: real ocean salts for mineral absorption, botanical clays for gentle detox, jojoba oil to leave the barrier intact.
The muslin sachet design means you can have the depth of an old-school thalassotherapy soak without the cleanup of one. Drop it in, soak, drain. The sachet composts.
Made for those who recognise the difference.
The Ritual
How to Soak
- One
Run a hot bath.
As warm as you can comfortably tolerate — the heat opens the pores and accelerates mineral absorption.
- Two
Drop the sachet under the tap.
Place the sachet directly under running water before the tub is full. The agitation begins releasing salts, clay, and oils into the bath.
- Three
Soak for 20–30 minutes.
Long enough for transdermal magnesium absorption and for the essential oils to fill the air. Squeeze the sachet occasionally to release more actives.
- Four
Rinse, dry, and compost the sachet.
A light rinse after the bath leaves no residue. Pat skin dry — don't scrub — to keep the jojoba oil's surface film intact. Sachet goes in the compost or garden bed.

Questions
What People Ask About Our Bath Soaks
Three differences. First, the sachet — our soak is in a fine cotton-muslin pouch so the salts and clays stay contained while still releasing their actives. No grit at the bottom of the tub, no scrubbing afterward. Second, the formulation: real ocean salts (not pure Epsom), botanical clay, and jojoba oil — so you get mineral, detox, and skin-nourishing benefits in one bath. Third, the aromatherapy: pure essential oils dosed for therapeutic effect, not synthetic fragrance.
20–30 minutes is the sweet spot. Long enough for the magnesium in the ocean salts to absorb transdermally and for the essential oils to fill the air; short enough that the water hasn't cooled past comfort. Add the sachet to running hot water so it begins releasing before you're in.
No — single-use by design. The sachet is fully compostable after one bath; the salts and clay have released their actives by then. Drop the spent sachet in your garden or compost; it returns to soil within weeks.
No, that's the whole point of the no-mess sachet. The clay stays inside the muslin, releasing only the soluble actives into the water. Empty bath drains cleanly with no residue.
Yes — formulated with that in mind. The salts and clay are dispersed slowly through the sachet (so concentrations stay gentle), and the essential oil ratio is dosed under the standard sensitisation threshold. As with any new skincare product, patch test if you have known reactivity.
